Best Original Persian food in Chicago, Our family has been eating here and always happy to go back, the food is great and fresh and specially the Kabob Raps are great quick lunch option.

Coworkers have been telling me how good this place is. But the old place was always busy and hard to find parking. Now they have a newly added location (right next to the old restaurant) and more parking. 4 of us visited on Sunday around 2 pm. It's not as busy. We ordered 4 plates: Joujeh on the Bones (Cornish hen), Soltani (filet mignon & ground sirloin), Lamb & Koubiden (lamb kabab & ground sirloin), shrimp & lamb. All combos come with rice, fresh salads, and grilled vegetables. $15-$19 each. All the meats were cooked just right - tender, juicy and very flavourful. I absolutely love the lamb kabob. We initially hesitated to order seafood. But when we saw the shrimps on the next table, we ordered that and glad we did. Shrimps were good sized, cooked just right with a firm texture and a hint of crunch. The cornish hen is probably one of the best I ever had. The young man who brought out our plates was so sweet. Since it's not crowded, he asked if we wanted to combine another table to have more space. He brought out additional plates so we could share. He had a pleasant smile the whole he served in the dining room. Everyone works the counter was very nice as well. They have $7 lunch specials for weekdays 11 am - 3 pm, plus other combo plates for less than $10. I'll definitely try those. One note: since they cook everything fresh, it could be 20+ minutes before your food is served. So if you order carry out, call ahead.
